The idea of the Business Mans prayer meeting began we believe by God nudging a few of us to press in toward Revival and a move in the marketplace. We patterned the prayer movement after the Fulton Street Revival of 1857. A couple cool stories prior to September 23rd. My sister Kim Groeneweg who led me to the Lord back in 2006 called me and said she had a VHS Tape she had had for a few years on the Fulton Street Revival. First of all who has a VHS tape! After this conversation I am driving down to Sioux City for a meeting and on my right hand side of the road I see a Green Street Sign that says "Fulton St." I could not believe it and I felt God speak this. "It is Possible Again" Press IN! What are the chances of this...2 days before the prayer meeting starts I chat with my sister on the Fulton street tape and withing an hour see a sign that says Fulton Street by Sioux City?

Our first meeting began with Greg Schut opening the meeting in Prayer and casting Vision for the meeting and what they do at the House of Missions and Equipping(H.O.M.E.) I came up after and shared my heart for Revival and the story of Jeremiah Lanphier and the Fulton Street Revival in 1857. Shared how the movement started in a Dutch Reformed Church and how God brought salvation to over 1 Million Men in 18 months! Today that would be like 10 Million getting saved in the U.S.A. I shared on the foundations of our country and how they are being uprooted before our eyes. I raised the American Flag and then shared the story of the Appeal to Heaven flag. This was the flag George Washington flew prior to the American flag in 1775. It was the flag that the navy vessels under Washington flew while fighting for the United States. It was there cry out to God, the one who formed our world and country from the beginning. Our quote was this. To win a nation back we must lower the American Flag and Raise this flag! Our only hope is for God to hear our cries and heal our land. We talked on Repentance and how this move of God will start when we come back to him in repentance and ask for mercy and grace. That is exactly what we did as many men came up to the front of the room on their knees praying for our community, nation and world. We had great worship the whole time led by Liza De Younge and Josh Kuipers. Many people came to the front and prayed for the nation and read the word. It was a great start....and this is how we began on Wednesday, September 23, 2015....
